Rebels Have a Strong Finish to End their League Play
The Xtreme Heating Pee Wee LL Rebels fished up their regular season with two more wins.
On Saturday the Rebels travelled to Lion's Head to finish up the home and home season games against the Bruce Peninsula Predators and came home with a 4-2 win. Bruce Peninsula would jump out to a two goal lead in the first half of the first period. Dalan Frook would score with 30 seconds left in the period to cut the lead to one the goal was assisted by Adam Gorman. In the second period the Rebels would continue to come on strong scoring twice to take a 3-2 lead into the third period. Gorman would score both goals for the Rebels the first was assisted by Frook and the second one was assisted by Gorman and Liam Wright. In the third period Charlie Scott would seal the deal with assists going to Dillon Fry and Landon Heathers. Owen Mackison was "Superman" in net again facing many shots and giving his team a chance for the win.
Monday night had the boys taking on the tough Arran Elderslie Ice Dog in Keady. The Ice Dogs would open the scoring in the first period but the Rebels would respond with a goal from Dalen Frook assisted by Charlie Scott. The Ice Dogs would reclaim the lead early in the next period , but the Rebels would come back with two of their own to end the period with a 3-2 lead. Scoring in the second would be William Hoare with an assist to Dillon Fry and Frook with his second with an assist from Adam Gorman. Again the Ice Dogs would score early in the period to draw even at 3-3. The Rebels would reclaim the lead with a goal by Scott with an assist going to Hoare. Owen Mackison was stellar in net again and would shut the door on the Ice Dogs for the rest of the period.
