GREAT END to THE SEASON
What hadn't worked in Wiarton, sure did in Mount Forest.
All the boys' efforts were rewarded on Sunday with a big win in their final game of the W.O.A.A. playoffs.

They wasted no time and put the pressure on right away.
Calvin Stewart fired a shot on net and Jake Moran tipped in the rebound just 27 seconds after the puck dropped.
17 seconds later, Jake got the puck to Curtis Wade from the face off and he centered it for Alex DeJong who was ready at the net.  The Rams woke up and kept the boys off the scoreboard for the remainder of the period.

The Rams managed to steal the puck and found the back of our net at 4:31 in the 2nd, but we answered that with one of our own.
Wesley Houston got Jake the puck and he muscled his way in, but got taken down at the net ... the arm went up and a penalty was coming to the Rams.  Jake popped up and got the puck out of the corner and sent it to Alex who was ready at the net again, at 2:42.

The REBELS opened the 3rd with 3 quick goals.
Jack Kivell sent a rocket from the point, Austin King picked it up and took the shot, but it was Pearce Lacey who finally buried the rebound at 14:25.
Danny Rourke sent the puck in to Curtis, and he forwarded it onto Jake for the goal at 12:36.
Before the Rams knew what hit them, Calvin took another shot on net and Austin King tipped in the rebound at 12:01.
The boys eased up after that and it was over 8 minutes later when Dylan Ledingham fed Curtis and he pushed his was through to the net.  His shot sailed just over the bar, but he picked up the puck and centred it for Alex to tip in and complete his hat-trick at 3:34.
The Rams weren't giving up yet and they took advantage of a breakaway at 3:08, and added another power-play goal at 2:39.
As not to end the season on that note ... Ethan Harrison sent the puck up to Curtis and he passed over to Jake, who took a few strides over the blue line and fired a slap-shot high into the net to complete his own hat-trick at 2:06.
If you hadn't been counting ... FINAL SCORE 8 - 3.

It was a FULL team effort and great to watch.  Unfortunately it came one game too late.  The boys had also needed to win in Wiarton to force a tie breaking game with Ripley for 1st place.
They finish a respectable 2nd and should be very proud of their accomplishments this season.

They will be representing TCDMHA in Goderich at the Young Canada Week Tournament on March 19-21, and going for another big PURPLE banner.
Good Luck and GO-REBELS-GO!!!
