Hat Trick for Delleman and Rebels On to Game Three!
The Kuhl Machine Shop Midget Rep Rebels played against the Mitchell Meteors on Sunday evening in Chatsworth and won by a score of 5-1. Joel Delleman scored a hat trick to force a third and deciding game in the WOAA Cruickshank Finals.
Mitchell was first on the board with an early goal in the first period but it was the only goal netminder Zach Raynsford allowed. With a shot from the point, Joel Delleman (assisted by Nathan Schwartz) put the puck in the goalie's five hole. Josh Batterman scored the second goal for the Rebels (assisted by Connor McCauley) with a sliding puck. In the second period, Delleman scored a shorthanded goal (assisted by McCauley). This was followed by a great shot from Kai Hiemstra (assisted by Jacob Roney). Delleman rounded out the second period with another shorthanded goal, which was unassisted.
Game three of these championships is on Monday evening at 7:30 pm in Chatsworth.
