Rebels Come Up Short
The Township of Chatsworth Horton's Concrete Finishing Novice Rep Rebels gave a great effort on the weekend but came away without a win. On Saturday the rebels travelled to Paisley for the Arran elderslie Novice rep tournament. In their first game the Rebels fell 4-3 to the host Arran Elderslie Icedogs. Scoring for the Rebels were Maverick Lacey with two and Nate Garrett with one. Liam Copping had a hat trick for Arran Elderslie while Ryan Calhoun has a one goal

In their second game the Rebels faced a tough Shallow Lake team and lost 6-0. It was a very close game for two periods as the rebels trailed by a score of 2-0 on goals by Matthew Boulter and Jake Ross. Shallow Lake would tally four more in the third period on goals by Ross, with his second and Spencer Davidson, Tyler McKee and Kaleb Slater.

The Rebels would end up playing in the Bronze medal game against the Teeswater Otters. Both teams were tired but played well. The game went into the third period
scoreless. Both Rebels Goalie Seth Rosenberg and the otters Jase Benniger were making great saves to keep the game deadlocked. Gil Schumacher would give the Otters the lead in the third as he drove hard to the net and put in a rebound despite Nate Garret falling into the net to try and keep the puck out as Rosenberg was down after making the first save. That was the only goal of the game as the Otters handed the Rebels a 1-0 loss to end the day. Great effort was shown by the boys all day long.

On Sunday the team headed up to Lion's Head to play Bruce Penninsula for a league game. The Predators ended up beating the Rebels 4-1. The Rebels would get on the board first in the second period on a goal by Dakota McComb, assisted by Colby mcComb and Dylan Ledingham. Bruce Penninsula would tie it up before the end of the second on a goal byJayden Jackson. The Preditors would pull away in the third on goals by Hunter Maisonweuve, Jaxon Gawel and another by Jackson.

The Rebels skated hard all weekend long and worked very hard in all games.
