The TCDMHA Kuhl Machine Shop Midget LL Rebels travelled to Shallow Lake on
Sunday in WOAA LL playoffs. The Rebels faced a Shallow Lake team that was very
depleated
Braedon Weppler opened the scoring for the Rebels late in the first period on a goal assisted by Brock Wardell. 15 seconds later, Kevin Ireton scored his first of 3 goals with assist going to Weppler and Connor Muxlow.
Ireton scored his second of the game early in the second with Cory McGregor adding the assist. The Lakers got on the scoresheet with a late second period goal to cut the lead to 3-1. The full Rebels bench proved to be too much for the small Lakers bench. Weppler scored his second of the game early in the third with Andrew Wheeler getting the assist. The Lakers responded with a goal of their own but 3 goals by Ireton, Tyler Williamson and Connor Muxlox sealed the 7-2 victory for the Rebels.
The Rebels are back in action Tuesday when they travel to Durham in WOAA LL playoff action. Game time is 8:30.
