PEE WEE GIRLS HAVE A BUSY WEEKEND
The TCDMHA Chatsworth Legion Branch 464 Pee Wee HL Girl Rebels had a busy weekend.
The Rebels hosted the Durham Huskies on Saturday in Keady and then travelled over to the Plex on Sunday afternoon to face off again Saugeen Shores. The busy weekend did not seem to affect the girls' play, however, as they turned out two great performances.
The mighty "10" Rebels had a tough battle on Saturday with a deep Husky bench. Losing the battle 5 to 1 does not reflect the hard work and determination these young ladies displayed. They played their hearts out right until the final buzzer!! Natalie Stephens netted the lone goal for the Rebels, assisted by Brontae Frook!
Sunday's game in Port Elgin saw the mighty "10" face-off against Saugeen Shores and their 17 skaters. A great goal by Erica McComb in the 2nd put the Rebels in the lead and the fans on their feet. Unfortunately the Storm was able to bury 2 goals in the Rebels net and took the game 2 to 1. A fantastic game by each and everyone of the Pee Wee Girls - you continue to make us all VERY VERY proud!!!
