Down to 9 skaters the Rebels were first on the scoreboard with a nifty shot by Mikayla Whitney assisted by Jessica Moran and Madison Doig. It looked like a secure win for the Rebels but with 1:19 left in the 3rd period, Blyth tied the game!! Into overtime we went. and there were alot of good scoring opportunities for both teams, but the goaltenders were stopping everything that came their way. Into the second Overtime the Rebels went. The Girls were showing signs of fatigue but they still kept on forechecking and backchecking, trying to keep their shifts quick and short. and FINALLY The Rebels Gabby McNabb deked the lone defenseman and shot the winning goal past the Blyth goaltender.

The Rebels showed when one applied  HARD WORK, DEDICATION, AND GREAT TEAMWORK, AMAZING things can happen!! The Girls are looking forward to the coaches coming through with their promise to shave, wear a dress and figure skates!!! Hmmmm I wonder who is doing what?????
