Rebels Take a Bite Out of the Wild
The Desboro Tire Novice Local League team kicked off their WOAA Playoffs in a big way with a solid 10-4 win over the Bruce Peninsula Wild Saturday in Desboro

Wesley Houston openned the game for Chatsworth with a goal assisted by Dillon Fry and Jordan Roney. Dalan Frook scored his first of six goals next, unasssited. The first period ended with the Rebels up 3-0 as Frook scored his second assisted by Summer Roney and Landon Heathers.

The Rebels came out Flying in the second period with 4 more goals, William Hoare scored with an assist going to Dalan Frook. Wesley Houston scored his second with assists going to Adam Gorman and Liam Harrison. The Wild scored their first next as Tal Kennedy scored unassisted. Frook scored twice more, the first unassisted and the second was set up by Adam Gorman. That made it 7-1 after two periods.

The Wild try to push back a little by scoring three times in the third but it was not enough. Blake Hellyer scored first for the Wild with an assist going to Mag Klunder. Dalan Frook replied for the Rebels with an unassisted goal. The Wild scored two in a row next as Tal Kennedy notched his second assisted by Damion Prauly. Jack Myles scored the last Wild goal with an assist going to Blake Hellyer. The Rebels kept pace scoring two more to end the game. Frook scored his sixth with assists going to Summer and Jordan Roney and William Hoare buried a nice one timer off a great pass from Wesley Houston.

What a great team effort Rebels. Super job in your first playoff game of this year. The Rebels will try to keep it rolling as they face the Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs on Tuesday Night in Desboro. Game time is 7:00.
