Back to Back Wins!
The Jennifer Tedford Midget C Rebels started the second half of their season on the right foot, defeating the Owen Sound Ice Hawks and the Kincardine Midget C Kinucks each by one goal margins at home the past two consecutive Fridays.

In their first game, (versus the Ice Hawks), the Rebels went down by a goal midway through the first period. Undaunted, they battled back in the second led by Madison Vokes.  She netted two goals in the period, with linemates Grace Kivell and Samantha DeJong picking up the assists.  Immediately following Madison's second goal, Grace slapped the puck ahead on the centre ice faceoff, picked it up, and skated it into the offensive end, firing a shot high into the back of the visitors' net.  Owen Sound would add a goal of their own in the second, but Rebels goalie Hannah Mustard shut the door on them for the remainder of the game. Win #1: Rebels 3 Owen Sound 2

In game number two, the Rebels faced Kincardine for the first time this season.  Despite both teams working hard, the game remained scoreless until midway through the second when Kyla Thalen took a slap shot on the Kinucks net and Grace Kuhl was there to bury the rebound.  The Kinucks would answer back, however, with just over a minute left in the period.  The two teams traded scoring chances until finally Skylar Golem was able to fire a laser from the blue line along the ice and through the Kinucks goalie's five-hole. Defenceman Carly Acton was awarded assists on both Rebels goals.  Win #2: Rebels 2 Kincardine 1

The Rebels will travel to Lucknow on Tuesday to face their C team for the first time in what promises to be a challenging and exciting game.
