Rebels dominate play
If possession were the sole determinant of victory, the Chatsworth Moggie Valley Timber Midget LL Rebels would have won last night’s game against Walkerton by a mile.

Aggressive play, crisp passing, consistent puck control, relentless backchecking, and determined goaltending contributed to a stellar team performance.  The defensive squad of Connor Woodroffe, Josh Fritz, Jack Scott, John Bumstead and newbie Noah McNab did an outstanding job of keeping the front of the net clear of opponents and rebounds.

To a man, each player put forth 110% effort, and the Rebels dominated play in the majority of the first, second, and third periods. The 1-1 tie in the first half of the third period put the game well within reach, but two goals by Walkerton in the second half of the period and a handful of shots that pinged Walkerton’s posts but stayed out sealed the team’s fate.  Jay Rourke netted the Rebels’ lone goal, assisted by Mason Hanna.

Fantastic effort, boys!
