You Win Some, You Lose Some...
The Jennifer Tedford Midget Cs had mixed results on the weekend, beating Saugeen Shores HL 6-0 on Friday night, but falling 3-1 to the Grey Highlands Shooting Stars on Sunday.

In their first game of the weekend, the Skylar Golem-Grace Kuhl connection was once again firing on all cylinders, as Golem netted her second hat trick in eight days.  Kuhl assisted on all three goals and scored one of her own, (assists to Brittany Batterman and Kyla Thalen).  Sammy DeJong was also stellar offensively for the Rebels, scoring her first goal off of a beautiful pass by Golem from behind the net, and adding another unassisted goal in the third.  She also picked up an assist on the night.  The defense of Renee Farrow, Brittany Batterman, Aly Airdrie, Carly Acton, and AP Emily Meuser was solid, helping goalie Hannah Mustard earn her third shutout in a row!

After beating the Shooting Stars 2-0 on home ice the week before,  the Rebels had high hopes heading into Markdale on Sunday afternoon.  It seemed as though they were poised to keep the scoring frenzy from two days prior rolling when they scored off the opening face-off.  Skylar fed the puck ahead off the draw at centre ice, Grace Kuhl picked it up, skated into the Markdale zone, and wired a wrist shot short-side into the back of the net.  Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.  The Shooting Stars tied the game up in the second period and added two more unanswered goals in the third.

The Rebels will look to rebound on Friday when the Owen Sound Ice Hawks come to town.
