Held on for the WIN on the road!
It was a close one for the 'Air-Tech Mechanical' Bantam Rep Rebels in Mount Forest tonight, but they managed to hold on for the 'W'.

The Rams netted 2 quick goals before the Rebels found their way around the huge ice surface, but once they got going, they answered right back with 2 of their own.  Both Rebels goals were scored by Curtis Wade who had positioned himself perfectly at the net.  Mitch Faust and Austin King set up the 1st at 12:50, and Austin McComb and King assisted in the 2nd at 6:38.
The 2nd period went to the Rebels as they were able to put 4 more on the board.  Carson Torrie started it off at 12:04, with assists going to Calvin Stewart and McComb, and Jordan Beirnes and Jake Moran got the puck to Faust, who buried goal # 4 at 10:12.
Stewart sent a sweet pass to Moran at the net, and he tipped it in at 4:02 ... and when the Rams started filling their box and the Rebels faced off 5 on 3, Cory Rasmussen went coast to coast and passed the puck out from behind the net to Moran, who fired it past the goalie at 2:31.
The boys went to the dressing room with a comfortable 6 - 2 lead ... but it didn't last long!

The Rams came back from the break and earned 3 unanswered goals in the 15 minute period.  Although the Rebels had many attempts on net, none were successful.  The action carried on with traffic at our net in the final seconds of the game, but goalie Lawson Cumming shut the door, and defenseman Danny Rourke kept control of the puck behind our net until those seconds ticked away.
Rebels hang on for a 6 - 5 victory.

The boys hit the road again on Friday night to take on the Storm in Saugeen Shores.
