Fluney Stops Everything That's Fired At Him
Quick feet, accurate passes, great positional play and hard shots on net were the key to success as the Desboro Tire Novice LL#1 team wins again!

The team played with determination and speed as they visited Tara to face the Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs Red team. It may have been home ice for the Ice Dogs but the Rebels took over early and dominated the play. Austin Rasmussen got the Rebels on the board first with a great pass from Neil Gilchrist. Carter Frook added one top corner late in the second and then with 0.1 seconds on the clock Matthew LaFond let a quick one-timer go to beat the goalie and give the Rebels a 3-0 lead. Assist for LaFond's goal was Hunter McComb. The Rebels continued to put pressure on the home squad and rang the puck off the post 3 times! Accurate passing and phenomenal stickhandling by Ashton Spencer and LaFond as they teamed up together to assist the next goal scored by Gilchrist. Rasmussen scores his second of the game with skillful skating maneuvers through the neutral and offensive zones. Followed up by Frook who also gets his second of the game, assisted by Jackson Gordon. The boys learned, "If we control the puck, they can't score!"
