Mountain Blanks Opposition in Huntsville Tourney
Ty Mountain blanketed all opponents on his way to 5 consecutive shutouts as the Township of Chatsworth Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rebels won the Huntsville Otters AE Tournament.

South Porcupine provided a stiff test in the Rebels opening game. The boys started slow and once they were rolling they were stymied by the 'Pines sharp goaltender. Brett's (Carson, Cody) with a slapper from the point, and Alex (Owen,Sean) with a quick shot from the slot provided the scoring. Ty was sharp early in the game, allowing his teammates to shake out the cobwebs from a long drive.
Game 2 featured the quick skating Huntsville Otters. Playing on international size ice at the Canada Summit Centre, the Rebels were able to outskate and wear down the Otters. After a scoreless 1st, the Rebels got 2 in the 2nd period, goals were scored by Branson (Owen, Brett) and Owen (Branson, Brett). Branson deserves special praise for his creative assist. Mason (Owen) put the game away, scoring with 4:20 left in the game, to complete the 3-0 victoy.
St.George Generals were up next in the round robin portion of the tourney. Owen got the first 2, then Cody added the next 2 goals, resulting in a 4-0 win. Assists went to Mason (2), Brandon, Branson, Sean, Alex and Carson. With 3 victories, the boys advanced to the semis to face the Caledon Hawks.
The Hawks were the biggest team the boys faced this year and to offset the large size difference the Rebels used their speed. Mason led the team with 2 goals. Carson and Cody added single markers. Owen(2), Mitch, Alex and Branson assisted.
The championship final saw a rematch with the Hunstville Otters. The Otters added some more grit to their skill game in the final. The Rebels needed Ty to come up big in a number of goal mouth scrambles. Mason scored the winner, unassisted, early in the 3rd. Ty slammed the door shut for the remainder of the game to complete his 5th  consecutive shutout. Going an entire tournament without allowing a goal speaks volumes about our keeper, his strong D-man, the back checking forwards and the team buying into their coaches game plans. Well done players and coaches!
Thanks to the Huntsville folks for putting on a well run tourney!

Township of Georgian Bluffs
Just a few hours from major Ontario cities, Georgian Bluffs is a collection of communities stretching north from Chatsworth to just south of Wiarton. Copper Kettle, Cobble Beach, Slough of Despond, Big Bay, Oxenden, Balmy Beach… these are just some of the names that paint a picture of the Georgian Bluffs canvas along the Georgian Bay Coastal Route. We have the natural beauty of waterfalls, the Niagara Escarpment and the blue waters of Georgian Bay just to mention a few of our natural amenities. We are a township for all seasons!
Township of Chatsworth
Essentially a rural community, the Township of Chatsworth takes its flavour from the farmlands and forests surrounding it. We welcome visitors to stop and visit as you drive through central Grey County. Amalgamated January 1, 2000, the Township of Chatsworth is made up of the former Townships of Holland and Sullivan and the Village of Chatsworth. The Township population is approximately 8,000 in an area of 260 square miles. Agriculture is the most predominant industry in the Township. There are also a significant number of sawmills in the township, many operated by the Amish community. Tourism and recreation are a growing industry. The Niagara Escarpment, 6 county forests, numerous conservation areas, inland lakes and major rivers provide plenty of year round activities including hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing.
