Midget Girls "B" - Finalist Winners!!
Town & Country Midget B Girls team come home with Finalist Banner at the 14th Annual Sarnia Girls Silverstick.
After a busy weekend with 5 games of hockey and a few injuries, the Rebels found themselves in their 6th game against Petrolia Oilers in a tough battle to bring home the gold.
With a lengthy delay to the start of the game, the Oilers opened the scoring in the first period when Kimberly Poole popped one in past the Rebels netminder Michelle McNabb. The Rebels battled hard and never gave up!
In the second period, the Oilers netted their 2nd goal when Kaitlyn Sinclair snuck one in past McNabb. With plenty of opportunities for the Rebels, we just couldn't get the puck to sneak in past Amelia Maniuk!
The game ended with a 2-0 loss but was a very proud moment for players and Rebels fans as
Michelle McNabb accepted the Silver Finalist Banner and Morgan Potter won the MVP of the final game! Coaching Staff and Parents couldn't be more proud of the way you played this weekend Girls! Although we didn't bring home the win, you played with your heart, you played with class, you left it all on the ice...thanks for letting us be a part of it!
